If you are staying in the Chalong area or indeed anywhere in southern Phuket and want to give Pilates a try, join a class, or arrange for private lessons, you could do no better than talk to Jill Robson at the Perfection spa (also Fashion Cafe) on Chaofa Road East, who gives classes there several times a week.
Jill is a fully qualified and highly competent Pilates instructor with superb ‘people skills’. She successfully manages to achieve a balance between giving each member of the class specific and personalized instruction whilst maintaining the overall rhythm of the session for the group. If you have any specific weaknesses or factors that are of concern, for example lower back pain, Jill will discuss these with you in detail and tailor relevant exercises accordingly.
A typical one-hour session includes instruction on breathing, posture, specific muscle control, muscle strengthening and stretching. At the end of the session you will feel invigorated, energized and an overall sense of enhanced well-being.
